As your Credit Union, we take those responsibilities

How We Share Non-public
Personal Information
Sun Federal Credit Union
is dedicated to providing the best financial products and
services available. Working closely with
trusted strategic partners, we strive to deliver meaningful
products and services that will help you meet your financial
needs over a lifetime. In order to provide
you competitive products and services, it is sometimes
necessary to collect personal information about you (for
example, name, address, social security number, assets, and
income, account balances, payment history, credit card usage)
from:
- information we
receive from you on applications or other forms
- information about
your transactions: with us, with our
affiliates, or with other strategic partners;
- and information
we receive about you from credit
reporting agencies.
Who
Receives Non-public Personal Information We Share
Sun Federal does not sell
or release member information to telemarketers. However, in
order to provide you competitive products and services we may
share the information we collect, as described above, as
permitted by law or as authorized by you, and in accordance
with this Privacy Policy.
Strategic Partners With
Whom We Share Non-public Personal Information
We maintain strict
privacy and confidentiality protections in our business
relationships. To offer you a broader
array of products and services, we may share information with
the following types of Sun Federal strategic partners:
- Financial service
providers such as mortgage service companies, securities
firms, insurance firms;
- Non-financial
companies, such as, consumer credit
reporting agencies;
- Affiliates, such
as ATM (Automatic Teller Machines, i.e. MAC) Alliances;
- Disclosures to
other nonaffiliated third parties as permitted by law.
(These disclosures typically include information to process
transactions on your behalf, conduct our operations, to
follow your instructions as you authorize, or protect the
security of our financial records.)
Sun Federal may enter into other strategic
alliances with financial service providers or other companies

products and services to our members and their families.

Other than the disclosures
referenced above, Sun Federal does not release your nonpublic
personal information to unaffiliated third parties.
Former Members
The Credit Union does not
disclose information about former members except as may be
permitted by law.

We restrict access to
nonpublic personal information about you to those
employees who need to know that information to provide
products or services to you, or may be responsible for
maintaining information security practices.
Your information is protected by strong security
controls surrounding both our technology and personnel. We
maintain physical, electronic, and procedural safeguards that
comply with federal regulations to guard your nonpublic
personal information.
What You Can Do to Help
Sun Federal will take
care to protect the personal information with which you
entrust us. You can also help by following
these simple guidelines:
- Protect your
account numbers, card numbers, Personal Identification
Numbers (PINs) and passwords. Never keep
your PIN with your check card or credit card to protect
against unauthorized access to your accounts if your card is
lost or stolen.
- Use caution when
disclosing your account numbers, social security numbers,
etc. to other persons.
- Keep your
information current. It is important
that we have current information on how to reach you.
If we detect potentially fraudulent or unauthorized
activity or use of an account, we will attempt to contact
you immediately. If your e-mail or residential address or
phone number changes, please let us know.
