In early 2007, Sun Federal introduced a new service called Overdraft Privilege. This Privilege was made available to all members with checking accounts to protect them from the additional expense and embarrassment of having checks or payments returned unpaid or purchases or withdrawals denied.

Sun Federal's Overdraft Privilege is a valuable service accessed everyday by members. Our members have peace of mind knowing the Credit Union pays, rather than returns, non-sufficient funds transactions on checking accounts. The fee for this privilege is similar to a typical charge for returned items.

CU Service Centers Shared Branching Locator App Now Available on iTunes®

The free app is available to download and offers over 6,400 locations to perform Shared Branching transactions. FHA & VA Home Loans Now Available

Sun Federal is now an approved lender for Federal Housing Administration (FHA) and Veterans Administration (VA) insured mortgages. The loans are available in 15-30 year terms to purchase or refinance new and existing homes. FHA loans feature a low, required down payment of 3.5%. There is no down payment required for VA loans.
