Record Keeping...
With each electronic purchase you'll always get a receipt
for easy record keeping. Plus, a detailed record of every
transaction on your monthly account statement will reflect
the company name and purchase detail where a paper check
transaction only shows the check number and dollar amount.
You may also monitor your account 24
hours a day utilizing SunTouch24 where each Check Card
transaction will be identified as an electronic purchase.
However, the Check Card is not a credit card. Don't get confused if a merchant calls your Check Card purchase a "CREDIT" purchase, the funds will still be deducted from your Sun Federal checking account. Indicating "CREDIT" at the time of purchase simply sends the transaction through the VISA network.
Choose Credit, Not Debit
Remember to choose "CREDIT" instead of "ATM" or "DEBIT"
when you use your Sun Federal ATM/Check card at the point of
sale so that your purchase transactions will not count toward
your first eight FREE transactions.
Get Creative When You Need Cash
Don’t spend money on ATM fees! If you need cash and there isn’t a surcharge free ATM close by, don’t worry. Simply buy a pack of gum or bottle of water at your local grocery store and use your ATM Visa Check Card to pay for the purchase. Select “debit” and then let the cashier know you’d like cash back. It’s easy!

ATMs
Many Automatic Teller Machine (ATM) owners charge you
directly to use their ATM machines. These surcharges usually
add an additional one to five dollars per transaction.
Sun Federal Credit Union offers its members no-surcharge
ATMs at most of our branch locations
and in thousands of other locations throughout the U.S. via
the
Alliance One and the CU
Dollar ATM networks and the
Cirrus

To ensure an ATM is truly surcharge free, please make
sure it has both the
Alliance One or
CU$ logo, AND the Cirrus logo. Searches can be completed by financial institution
name or ATM location address.
While these machines should not charge you a fee for using
